Welcome to Southwest Ranches

For those seeking a semi rural lifestyle at the heart of Broward county, Southwest Ranches will exceed your expectations. As the name indicates, the town consists of small farms and equestrian ranches.

A perfect combination of location and space, this town is the definition of the best of both worlds. With miles of multi use trails and parks, Southwest Ranches residents get to enjoy an active lifestyle of riding horses, walking, biking and more.

Due to its laid-back feel, spacious lots and quiet location, the town has caught the eye of many celebrities who are looking for their own piece of paradise. Southwest Ranches is being called the Beverly Hills of South Florida by many, thanks to its A-lister residents, exclusive neighborhoods, gated estates and very desirable privacy.

One of the biggest attractions for equestrian enthusiasts is Sunrise Ranches Equestrian Park. The park has a 10,400-sf practice ring, 37,500-sf show ring, about 10 acres of horse and scenic nature trails, a farm themed playground and an Equestrian Oasis built by Richard Medlock.

Many measures have been taken to conserve all these features, which included voting for Southwest Ranches to become a standalone town in March of 2000, rather than an annex of Pembroke Pines. This allows the town to pass laws that help preserve its integrity, like one that only allows building on lots over 1 acre.

Whether you are looking for a city that fits your equestrian passion or simply a quiet town lifestyle (that will make you forget you are only 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, major roadways and airports) Southwest Ranches is a place you will love to call home.
